Prologue: The Promise

It's been a dramatic journey. Perhaps that's the only way He could get my attention ... I'm a sucker for adventures ... Not ALL 'adventures'. I've endured a month-long Labyrinthitis and possibly a follicle burst. The latter incident brought me on an excursion to Mater Hospital's Emergency Department on an ambulance from work last Wednesday. It was the day after the Lord gave me spiritual breakthroughs through prayer ... AND right after I led singing in 'worship' ... (Mind you, getting the 'worship team' together to sing was also dramatic in itself ... We lost the instrumentalist, and leading colleagues in A Capella singing isn't everyone's cup of tea.) You know the enemy doesn't like the journey God's taking you on when 'stuff' like this happens.

I received an email from a friend today who felt prompted to intercede for me after a bout of abdominal pain. And, having read my facebook update about a trip to Europe also asked whether the trip is ministry related. I'm humbled, humbled, HUMBLED by His love, mercy & grace ... He's not asking me to do anything but to receive His love and to abide in Him ... He's nothing but a GOOD God. He's always used what Satan intended for evil for my good. I've been able to soak in His presence and enjoy beautiful fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit ... He's started showing me what the enemy's doing with increasing clarity, and remain in His peace ... I'm still imperfect, strive too much; a work in progress. But in my imperfection He gets all the more glory for good works that He produces through me ...

In the next three weeks I'll be travelling in UK, France and Switzerland (en route South Korea). I take off from Sydney tomorrow morning. France & Switzerland is a 'missions trip' with a team of six. I'm seeing UK before the 'missions' component with one of the team members. I'm stoked. I'm going to have so much fun with Almighty God who calls me His own ...

Lovely friends have been praying for me and I've been receiving promises and claiming them in Jesus' Name! :)

Isaiah 40:31 (AMP)

31But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Matthew 11:28-30 (AMP)

28Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will [a]ease and relieve and [b]refresh [c]your souls.]

29Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest
([d]relief and ease and refreshment and [e]recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.(A)

30For My yoke is wholesome (useful, [f]good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

If you'd like led to pray for me and the team, please pray for:
· Divine protection over the missions team (of six) … Psalm 91
· The powerful the testimony of Jesus, in particular His love, to shine through us … Acts 1:8
· Souls to be saved … Isaiah 54:3
· My continuous recovery (health has been under attack) and for His grace & strength to make me strong. Isaiah 54:16-172 Thess 3:3

Father, thank you that You're good, yesterday, today, and always. Reveal yourself to me and show me what you're doing. Thank you Holy Spirit for Comforting me in my weaknesses ... Thank you Jesus for laying down your life for your sheep so that I may live life to the full ...

So let the journey begin~
