If you ever get to check on the map ... we've got a pretty ambitious itinerary. We started the morning at Cardiff Castle, and ended our day at Warrick Castle. Am I castled-out yet? Not yet. Not until I've seen the Edinburgh castle. Heard it's rather exquisite :) I will say, however, that the Warrick Castle is rather extravagant. They even had ice-coolers that would keep ice up to 2 years, and their own electricity generator (water mill / hydro-power).
Shakespeare's birth place was a quaint, quaint town ... I'd go back and spend more time there though, as we only budgeted under an hour there. I bought a couple of shirts from the souvenir shop. The print on one of the shirts says, 'Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?' ('Tis a gift) (Romeo & Juliet, Act 2 Scene ii.) and the other '....will you woo this Wild-cat?" (The Taming of the Shrew, Act I Scene ii.) The latter would be worn with good humour ... ;)
