I was pushing the shelf rack next to the sink tonight, trying to clear the water under it with a squeegee-like broom when I heard a crack from above my head.
Determined to finish draining the water, I kept my face down, assuming the noise was the sound of the rack under duress from my push.
Suddenly, I felt a large object pounding on my right hand, and crashing into the bathtub.
I looked down to my right.
The mirror on the wall had fallen. Countless pieces of razor sharp edges, gather scattered under the plastic frame
(the mirror was once affixed to).
I was immediately reminded of my exhaustion, but even more so assured... that in my dulled, and perhaps accident-prone state, Someone is looking out and taking care of me.
I could have been in a bloody mess tonight...!
Later, I found a decent crack in the plastic counter that once sat under the missing mirror. Then, I realised that the plastic frame, along with the glass, had actually made its first impact on the counter, effectively softening the blow on my hand before it splayed its cracked silver all over the plastic tub.
Pieces of glass lying on the floor, pieces in the sink, but I do not sport a single cut from the sharp, broken bits...
I may be in a bit of pain, but had you
not taken care of the initial impact and the brunt of it all, I would've, could've......
I can only imagine......
Thank You for making me aware of Your love and protection.
My life is wholly Yours, and wholly in Your hands.
